A: ok! Of course there are indian restaurants in Milan. In this city you can find every kind of restaurant that you want. As long as I know, indian restaurants are a bit expensive but I guess they must be renowned. Here following I'll write you a short list of indian retsurants in Milan. Unfortunately I've just found the address of the first three but only the names of the others:
RISTORANTE INDIANO SARLA
MILANO, Via Stampa 4
RISTORANTE AANGAN - RISTORANTE INDIANO
MILANO, Viale Monza 90
Shiva Ristorante Indiano,
via Gian Galeazzo 7 -Milano (MI)
Rangoli Indian Restaurant - Milano (MI)
Tara Ristorante Indiano - Milano (MI)
Ristorante Serendib - Milano (MI)
Namastè - Milano (MI)
Ristorante Indiano New Delhi - Milano (MI)
Jamuna (Ristorante Palchi) - Milano (MI)
Ristorante Indiano Punjab - Milano (MI)
Ristorante Indiano Sukrity - Milano (MI)
I didn't understand if you want to know prices of food in restaurants or at supermarkets. Anyway, as I told you, restaurants are a bit expensive in Milan. The prices of food sold by supermarket can be various and often depends on quality. Let's say that vegetables, rice, bread and eggs have a reasonable price. oil can be more expensive, in particular if you want one of good quality.
As for football matches...the italian championship should begin the 10th of september (it's not sure yet because of the scandal of the italian soccer which occourred this summer and that you surely heard about). So you will surely have chance to assist to a match. Matches take place every sunday at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza di San Siro and there are 2 teams playing there: AC Milan and Inter Milan. This means they play there alternating: one sunday plays AC Milan and the following one plays Inter. I suggest you to go to see AC Milan cause it's a very good team and you will be offered of an amusing match. Inter Milan pretty sucks!!!
The prices of the entrance to the stadium depend on where you want to seat. The stadium is divided into 3 parts called "anelli" (rings) and every part is divided into 4 colours: red, orange, blu and green. The first part (1° anello) is the closest to the field and of course the most expensive. The second part (2°anello) is in between and the third part (3° anello) is the upper one and the farest to the field. So the nearer you are to the field the more you have to pay for the entrance ticket. Let's say that to get a good place in the "2° anello" (which for me is the best) you should spend on average 30/40 Euro, it depends on the match as well. If you decide to go to see AC milan and get a ticket in the 2° anello, just be careful NOT TO BUY a seat in the blue part because that is the place of the hottest supporters and everyone there takes the seat that he wants and watches the match standing. So you can forget to get your seat if you buy a ticket there. For the same reason, if you decide to go to see Inter Milan, do not buy a seat in the green part of 2° anello.
For further information you can contact me again. Have a nice stay in Milan!

Q: Thanks. I look forward to eating for free when I get to Milan?! Can you tell me the name of some bars which are good for food around aperitif food?
Submitted By: colm on the 12th June 2006
A: Well, my favourite one is the "Sio Bar" and it is located near to the "La Bicocca" university. It is full of young people and good free food, but the drink is a bit expensive: 7 euro. Another good one is called "Dinamo" and you can find it in Piazza Greco. Anyway you just need to look around to find bounch of them. I suggest you to have a walk in the navigli area. it's full of pub and bars and its a very nice surrounding.

Q: Hi,
You say here that it can be quite expensive to eat out in Milan, but I read somewhere that you can eat for free during 'aperitif time' when bars put out loads of free food around 6pm. Is this true?
Submitted By: colm on the 9th June 2006
A: yes, this is most true! There are some bars which offer a rich buffet during "aperitif time", but not EVERY bar of course. Anyway it is becoming customary in always more places to put out plenty of food during aperitif time and I think you won't have problems to find one if you come to Milan. The food in these bars is for free, or better, it is included in the price of the drink which can be from 5 to 10 euro, depending on the place. Once you have paid this you can eat as much as you want. The best bars really offer a wide choice of food, not just sandwiches and ham, but also pasta, pizza, rice, salads, french fries, meat and so on.

Q: What is your ‘insider tip’ for Milan?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 7th June 2006
A: Do not visit Milan in August. First of all cause it's too hot and also cause many shops and pubs/clubs are closed and the most of the people are having holiday somewhere else. So the city is empty and you will just meet other tourists.

Q: Is it easy to get around Milan?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 7th June 2006
A: Not really so easy actually, but you can take as point of reference the underground which covers the most part of the city and you can get around with it. Compared to other big cities in Europe, public transport is cheap in Milan.
