Always a popular destination, the Norwegian capital of Oslo is gem in the heart of Scandanavia. This historic city has a proud heritage and history, and is will worth a visit. The famous Norwegian National Opera & Ballet sits right on the water and, of course, is a wonderful option for night of fine music, art, dance and culture. One of the best attractions in the city is the Fram Museum. The Fram was a ship used for exploring the Arctic and Antarctic by Norwegian explorers a century ago! The whole museum is on the ship itself, which is common in Scandanavia. Speaking of museums, the Kon-Tiki Museum shows off two more ships used by famous explorers, and the Viking Ship Museum, both of which are loaded with incredible Norwegian history. If you get a chance, the Fjord tour is worth seeing: Olso's scenery is stunning! The city itself has some great landmarks to stop by, and the hostels in Oslo will be able to point you in the right direction . Be sure to check out the Giant Pointing Finger Statue, the Royal Palace, and the peaceful Frogner and Vigeland Sculpture Park (both of which are free).
