Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the fifth largest city in the United States and is one of the most historic. Perhaps the most popular site in the city is Independence Hall, which was the location where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were signed. Other hugely popular historical sites are the centuries old Liberty Bell, and the National Museum of American Jewish History.

Philadelphia is full of great museums, some traditional, and some quirky ones like the Please Touch Museum, which is full of hands-on exhibits. Sports fans will have plenty to stay busy, with the Phillies baseball, Eagles American football, 76ers basketball, Union soccer and Fliers ice hockey teams right on your doorstep! Foodies will definitely want to check out the historic Reading Terminal Market, with its over eighty concession stands. Art enthusiasts will love the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Museum, and the Wanamaker Organ is certainly a sight to behold. The friendly staff at the various hostels around the city will be able to point you in the right direction of one of the many tours offered, and you can even take part in a scavenger hunt, ghost or vampire tour of the city.
