Downtown is better than the hotel zone

I like to experience the culture when I go to Mexico. The hotel zone is too much like cities in the U.S. The downtown area is the best way to enjoy the culture and the people of Cancun are very beautiful. Of course everyone who visits needs to see the beautiful beaches and water, but everything is much more affordable in the downtown area.

  • Insider tip:Purchase a map of downtown ,online, before you go. Buy things from the locals. You can bargain with them and get much better prices than you can get anywhere in the hotel zone. The resorts and stores in the hotel zone are profitable enough -help the locals!
