Very Nice!

This hostel is literally right across the street from the main train station, making traveling around very easy. The hotel staff were OK-- no real problems. The man at the fron desk ignored me for a little bit while I was waiting to check-in, but he left later and was replaced by a younger, cooler reception-man. Beds are quite comfy, very clean rooms, bathrooms are very nice and kept in good condition. The key card system is a bit difficult to master, but it is a very ingenious way of securing the hallways from outsiders. Its located inside and old building, the elevator is tony, so if you have lots of luggage, you may have to make a few trips between floors. Great hostel, great location!

  • Insider tip:Although it is a nice hostel, do not let yourself be noticed as tourists. We were going inside the hostel, when my friend was pick-pocketed right under our noses. Be aware of your surroundings!!!!

Just a place when you're passing through...

Frankfurt is only worth a visit for a day or two if you're passing through. It's a place where many flights and trains depart and arrive so almost everyone will probably pass through it once at least. There isn't much to see. The shopping area was so full of construction work that it did not seem like a shopping area at all. In fact, it was so grey that even the fun of shopping was dampened. What i found interesting about frenkfurt was the food - applewine, different sausages, cheeses and also the cheesecake! Do visit the kleinmarket to see the different foods they offer! if you go upstairs, you can even choose some wine and some tidbits to enjoy along the corridor!

Colour Hotel was the best bit!

Was a mere stop over on our trip to Austria from Koln. Didn't care for the redlight district on our doorstep!
