One of my favourite cities in the states. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is excellent (if a bit pricey) and it's easy to get around the Quarter on foot.

• Insider tip:The French Quarter has great food, but it's a bit expensive. Try going to Magazine and eating at the coffee shops...the food is good and it's about 1/3 of the price you'd pay in the Quarter.

• Insider tip:Tour the plantations between NewOrleans and Baton Rouge...the Laura Plantation is amazing!

New Orleans - There still not done

The city is still a big mess. If you wanna go ther to party you can't really see it, but if you go further to see the garden district and other stuff, that's not near the french quarter, then you can really see how much they still have to do. It's definitely worth going there if you wanna party a little bit, and see something, but ifyou just come there for culture and sightseeing, you're gonna be wrong. Of course i didn't see everything and probably missed a lot of other nice places, too, so don't just go for my opinion.

• Insider tip:Always have exact change for the streetcars and buses!

New Orleans Rocks

Was so much fun and it will be great when the city gets back fully on it's feet. There is still a lot of damage from Hurricane Katrina 2 years ago but there is also so much fixed up with what the city went trhough. Will totally be going back!
