In Oslo, it is very good for value. It is near the Karl Johans Gates for shopping and central station, just 10 minute walk. The facilities are good and kitchen, wash room...everything inside the room. However, I think they were training a new staff recently, she did things quite slow and I need half an hour to check-in. There is also a supermarket near by which opened by some Africans.

Not as nice as its neighbours to the east, but a pleasant enough city to wander around

private room was a big plus, but it was in the roughest part of town (although this wasn't really a problem, even VERY late at night) biggest plus was it's great central location, a few blocks away from the train station and only a couple off of karl johans gate

in the winter, it's good for doing winter sports. if you just want to see the city, summer might be a better season to visit. the reason is that many old churches might be closed or wrapped up for maintenance. sculpture park is awesome.

• Insider tip:very cold during the winter, low temperature plus wind chill. stuff is expensive.
