Was Interesting to Visit

While I was not there to Tourist - I enjoyed looking around -but, many Taxis would not stop or know where addresses were - made getting around hard.

  • Insider tip:Brush up on your Spanish - I got sent on many Wild Goose Chases looking for Places... LOL

A great city, pretty big, but easy to get around. You have the new part where all the action is and old part for sightseeing. Some good nightlife.

Nice city, lots of cool buildings in the old part, teleferico has a great view. Mariscal is good for eating/internet/drinking/dancing, but not much to see there.

  • Insider tip:Stay in the old town for cheap hostels, most restuarants close early there, but there are still a few open. Its quiet safe despite what some guidebooks may say, just use common sense.

Quito...Quito

Quito is a beautiful city, especially the old town, which is a must see. I only spent approx. 36 hours in the actually city, so I am not the expert. But the churches are gorgeous, if you are into that type of activity.

  • Insider tip:Stay in the old town, which is certainly the superior of the two halves of Quito.

Fantastic, friendly, organised taxi from airport as I arrived late at night, sociable, fantastic breakfast included.

  • Insider tip:Have change for the metro... this si the easiest way to travel from where the hostel is located.
