Rome was amazing!!

Rome was the favorite part of my trip!! I went to the Colosseum and the Vatican, both just breathtaking and gave me the chills the whole time I was there! Make sure to also visit the Victor Emmanual Monument (the first king of Italy), the Trevi Fountain is amazing (especially at night), the Patheon was great! And if you are as lucky as I got, you might be able to see the Pope and sit at mass with him! It was the most memorable moment of my trip!! I would definitely go back to Rome and enjoy it for much longer!

  • Insider tip:If you go to Rome for serveral days, make sure to get a 1 or 3 or how ever many days you are there bus pass! They have a great bus and metro system that will get you any where you need!!

Rome. Not for me.

I found the main sights a little disappointing (the subpar Vatican tour we took was partly to blame) and the city's character in general a bit sketchy. Metro goes around the heart, so you walk/taxi everywhere. Good food (it's Italy) and photo ops all over the place.

  • Insider tip:Try not to be in the train station for any length of time. Scum.

Rome was awesome

You can see a lot here in just a couple of days if you are up to it. Vatican museums are a must. Simply stunning. St. Peter's and the square are unreal. Save plenty of time for the Colosseum and the nearby hill and Forum. Try to hit some of the sites at night when they are lit. Go to some of the less known Piazzas and have a look around. Make sure you get Gelati! The Roman people are not the warmest in the world, but the sights in the city itself make up for it. What would I change? Encourage people to stop the graffiti that is EVERYWHERE.

  • Insider tip:Get the daily metro ticket and use it a lot! Metro stops are very convenient to many sites and very cheap...
