In a very good spot right downtown so you can walk to restaurants and shops...lots of tourist shops with a lot to choose from...good place to do souvenier shopping!! The activities are expensive set up for tourist traps so drive a little out of town and it goes down quite a bit.

Rotorua at Easter

Was told it is very smelly, this is not so. A little smell from the sulphur when you arrive but you soon get used to it. Hard to buy a pint of milk, but otherwise good.
