About San Francisco

It's seldom you hear a bad word about San Francisco. There's good reason for that. One of America's smaller cities, the list of things to do and see in the 47 square miles it covers is endless. This is the city that has given cable cars, frighteningly steep hills, the world's most famous prison, one of the most beautiful bridges on the planet, and eclectic and trendy neighbourhoods. After a visit you'll be spreading the good word in no time. view more»

San Francisco is the best city ever and the HI downtown is in a great location within walking distance of many attractions and a stones throw from pub

Great. I would stay here again.

Best City in the World. Offers everthing you want from partying, shopping, Culture ... and eating out food from places all over the world.

  • Insider tip:If you like to visit museums you should think about buying a citypass. It's 54 Dollars ... you can use Muni Transport and Cable Cars for one week and visit several museums in 9 days. Check out all the details at: http://www.citypass.com.

This city is just so amazing ... the hostel was close to everything you want to go to. It's close to the cable cars and the union square ... you can go shopping for hours.

  • Insider tip:Book the tickets for Alcatraz early ... best is a week before you wanna go. Book it at the internet and pick the ticket up the day you go there.

Can't ask for a better place to stay!

it was a wonderful experiences. Although I stay at this place again the 2nd time, it wasn't as fun as the first time. The staff there in March really leave me in distaste for not returned there for future stay.

  • Insider tip:Stay there in February the staff there seem friendly and professional enough. Don't stay in March or April, the professionalism from the staff seem to deteriorated afterwards.
