    The working city

Adelaide is not a fizzy or glamour city. It is working-oriented and focused on a family lifestyle. However, it is one of the most australian city, concerning its architecture and houses style, so that you can put yourself backwards and forwards in time!

Insider Tip:Go to the Central Market!

Adelaide seems to be kind of a place to hang out befor you go on tours. Close to Kangaroo Island and the Barossa Valley it tends to be just an overnight stop. Has a few nice places, but it's not the place to hang arround longer

    Relax in Adelaide

Quiet nice city, lots of super friendly people around. Never hard to talk to people. Great food, love the market and the hills. Really nice walks in the Adelaide Hills, easy to get too. Tourist info super helpful. If you are looking for action you might only find it on weekends. But plenty of night life!

Insider Tip:Hiking in the Adelaide Hills (Mt Lofty, Waterfall Gully, Morialta)! Fabulous walks, My Place Backpackers has taken us up there for free. Really awesome with waterfalls and canyon-like gorges!

Australia: Itinerary

Sydney is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most spectacular cities in the world. Travelling north, the next city is Brisbane which is also worth a visit en route to Cairns. And with a hippified town and commercialised city in between, the trip between Sydney and Brisbane is one of the most varied in Oz.
