Getting There
By air: The main airport is the Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport, located 30 minutes from Denpasar.
By ferry: Ferries arrive from Java every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
By bus: Buses from all major cities on Java and Lombok travel to Bali using the ferry services.
Getting Around
On foot: Getting around on foot is possible in the main resort areas. However, if you want to explore a bit further afield, then you will need to use public transport.
By taxi or bus: Taxis are an efficient and cheap way of getting around on the southern part of the island. Bemos, or minivans used as a flexible bus service, are the traditional form of transport on the island.
By bicycle: Bicycles are another good way of getting around Bali, especially outside the busy southern area of the island.
