    Great city to visit

We had a great time hiking, meeting new people, eating the cream cake. The view is something fantastic, it's like something from a fairytale. The castle is ok if you are interested in archeology, otherwise you are better off hiking to the Bench on the Hill for the view. I highly recommend the paragliding and whitewater rafting activities, my first time doing them was in Bled.

    Magical!

Lake Bled is jaw-dropping!! Absolutely magical! A lot of the activities were not possible because it was out of season i.e. day trips and rating etc.

Insider Tip:Vintgar Gorge - short walk from Bled, possbly more gorgeous than the lake itself!

    AMAZING

Just go here. So relaxing, so much to do, just wonderful. Rent a rowing boat, visit the island, play crazy golf, rent for a bike and swim in the lake as much as you can!

Insider Tip:The best lake swimming is round the far side from the town (walk clockwise from the town about a third of the way round)

    Bled - amazing place

Go there. Just go there. The lake is amazing in the Summer (I bet in the Winter too). There's people going in the water all over the lakeshore and you should do the same. Really amazing and beautiful place.

Insider Tip:If you go there by train be aware that train station Bled Jezero is in the "wrong" side of the lake. There are no bus to the city from the train station. You can either walk (about 40minutes or more) or grab a taxi. You can ask in the bar next to the station to call for a taxi, it's about 10€. Rent a boat in the side of the lake that's closer to the island in the middle. And then row there yourself. It's so fun!

    Bled

This was my favorite spot on my trip to Eastern Europe. The scenery is outstanding with an island church and hilltop castle. Moreover, the local area has great shops, eateries and bars. The mountains are a short drive away, so if you are looking for travel adventure, outdoors adventure, beautiful scenery, romantic getaways or family vacations, Bled can cater to them all.

Insider Tip:I was once a professional swimmer, so at night (I stayed here in August), I would go down to the lake edge and spend a few hours swimming. I would swim to the island, and back a few times till it got dark. So insider tip, if you want to swim, there is a park away from the actual water park where you can just strip to speedo and swim for free. With no motor traffic, there is no danger. Also, get your Union beer from the grocery store before 9, when they lock their beer fridges.
