Savica Waterfall is just one of the sights Bohinj has to offer. This impressive waterfall tumbles down for 60 metres into the gorge below. As well as natural beauty, the area also sports many man-made delights. These include the St. John the Baptist Church.

  • Church of St. John the Baptist

    , Bohinj, Slovenia

    You’ll find this medieval church on the Sava Bohinjka River’s northern side. A mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, the interior of the church boasts a large number of frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries. It is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.

  • Savica Waterfall

    4 km from Ukanc, Bohinj, Slovenia

    This impressive waterfall flows into a gorge 60 m down. To see the waterfall you must first get to the Savica Restaurant. From here, it’s a 20 minute walk up 510 steps and across various streams to get to the falls.

  • Alpine Diary Museum

    Stara Fuzina 181, Bohinj, Slovenia

    This museum is housed inside an old village diary which was previously used to produce cheese. Many displays covering the old equipment as well as farming life in the area can be seen here.

    Open Tues-Sun, closed Mondays, hours vary with seasons. Museum is closed from the end of October until the end of December.
