From bars and clubs to theatre and the performing arts, Dallas has a lot to offer visitors.

In terms of live music, Deep Ellum is a good place to go. At one time it operated as the city’s warehouse district but today it’s filled with clubs offering everything from live blues to jazz. There’s also a selection of rock and dance clubs here.

Greenville Avenue is another place to try if you’re looking to sample the selection of bars and clubs in Dallas.

The Dallas Theatre Centre on Turtle Creek Blvd is the place to go if you’re looking to sample the more cultural side of Dallas nightlife.

  • Dallas Theatre Centre

    Kalita Humphreys Theatre, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd, Dallas, USA

    The building here is an attraction in itself, as it was designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. In fact it’s currently the only working theatre that Wright built. Many theatrical productions are held here and are performed by both local and national companies.

  • Lizard Lounge

    2424 Swiss Avenue, Dallas, USA

    Every Friday and Saturday night, famous DJs from the US and around the world play electronic dance music to large numbers of revellers. Other theme nights are also held here throughout the week. The club has its own rooftop deck.

    Open daily, 9pm-4am.

  • Adairs Saloon

    2624 Commerce Street, Dallas, USA

    Established in 1963, this bar hosts lots of alt country performances, as well as various other genres of music. Lots of these shows are free. There’s a Happy Hour every day and different drinks specials are offered throughout the week.

  • The Ginger Man

    2718 Boll Street, Dallas, USA

    Part of a chain that has other locations in Houston, Fort Worth and Austin, the Dallas branch of the Ginger Man offers draught and bottled beers from all over the world. Wine, cider and a selection of interestingly titled beer blends are also available. Food is served here too.
