Eating Out in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Now that Dubrovnik has been granted this new lease of life over the last number of years, it has been enjoying a very positive revival in the number of restaurants popping up around the city, and particularly the Old Town. Tourists have been flocking and they need to be fed!

Walking down the main thoroughfare in the city centre, Place, or Stradun, hawkers from various restaurants on ‘x’ a few streets back do their best to coax you up for what they assure you is ‘very good deal’. As dependent on tourists as they are, these restaurants are of quite good quality.

But if you want to keep your distance from those too lazy to see what this city offers in terms of culinary delights, try out some of the restaurants closer to the far gate and the city’s harbour. While you will not be propositioned with a ‘good deal for you, good deal for me’ type menu, you will nonetheless be sure to enjoy whatever is placed in front of you.
