For those of you who are a little worried about the social scene in Mission Beach, you needn’t bother. Two of the town’s biggest hostels are home to two excellent bars where you can hook up with fellow backpackers and party the night away. Scotty’s also has a night-club for those of you hoping to dance the night away.
As well as this, many of the restaurants in the town and surrounding area are fully licensed opening late enough to help you use up any surplus energy which you might have left after a day of adventure sports.
Nevertheless, more than anything, Mission Beach offers backpackers a welcome break from the madness which many or you will have encountered in cities such as Cairns or Townsville before arriving in the town. So, take full advantage of this chance to unwind before heading further afield.
