    thermal world

I think it is a pleasent place to enjoy the geothermal activities. For cultural things (Maori evenning), sightseeing or tracking (eg.: Wai-O-Tapu or Blue Lake) and leasuring (several spas - we tried the Waikite Spa - not stinky) was excellent place. But any other activities were not tried.

Worth a stop on any NZ holiday

Rotorua is amazing! Geysers, bubbling mud pools, hot springs... it really is a geothermal wonderland. Walk down the local park and find steam rising from the ground! There's loads to see and do here - and don't forget a trip to the spa while you're here! Heaven!

Insider Tip:The green CityRide buses travel to every destination you can think of and only cost $2 a trip, or $6 for a day pass. They'll drop you wherever you want on their route, no set bus stops and on the return, just signal them wherever you are and they'll stop. Made it incredibly easy to get around.

A great city to visit for a few days action, be that Maori village visits or hardcore bungying. Take a Zorb while you are there, and be sure to visit the gethermal springs!
