Taipei is similar to other Asian cities – it is bright, brash, noisy and full of colour. But along with this new wave of more modern Taiwan there are still hints of more ancient times all over the city.

One of the city’s best attractions include the well-kept Botanical Gardens which are bliss when the pace of the city centre becomes too much.
