Getting There
By air: Chiang Kai-shek International Airport (TPE) is located 25 miles west of Taipei. A bus service connects the city to the airport and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.
By train: There is a train service which goes around the whole island, stopping at Taipei.
By bus: Taiwan’s bus network is excellent and there are four bus stations in the capital. You can travel there from most other major towns and cities.
Getting Around
By train: Taipei’s ‘Metropolitan Rapid Transit’ rail network has 6 lines working.
By bus: Taipei has a bus service in operation and numbers differentiate the various routes. They operate between 6.30am and 11.30pm.
By taxi: There are thousands of taxis all over the city and they are quite reasonably priced.
