Eating Out in Zurich, Switzerland

Although Zürich is known for being a bit more expensive than other European destinations, there are things you can do to keep the cost of your meals down. For example, many places offer half portion options. As well as that, you can check out the numerous fast food kiosks and cafés too, where you’ll find filling snacks like bratwurst at very reasonable prices.

Head to Old Town to find one of the largest concentrations of eateries in the city. Niederdorfstrasse is brimming with great places to try out, and Limmatquai has its fair share of restaurants and cafés too. Head over to the vibrant Zürich West area and you’ll also find lots of great places to find breakfast, lunch or dinner along Langstrasse.

Along with a wide selection of local favourites such as rosti (like potato cakes), international dishes are also well-represented on menus across Zürich. From Italian to Thai, whatever your taste buds desire can be found in this great gastronomic city.
