Entertainment in Cambodia

The Cambodian capital has the best selection of bars and nightclubs in the country, with other towns such as Siem Reap offering a decent selection also. A mix of locals, travellers and expats keeps each establishment busy.

While a lot of some of the capital’s nightclubs are full of ‘ladies of the night’, a recent blitz on brothels in the city have closed some down meaning girls who used to work in these houses now have to work in normal bars and clubs. They are usually found in all main nightspots but don’t let this stop you going out.

Nightlife in other cities such as Siem Reap (close to the Ancient Temples of Angkor) and Battambang is notably quieter than in the capital and, in many cases, more expensive also.
