Transport in Cyprus

Getting there

By air: Flying is the best way to get to Cyprus. The country has two airports – Larnaca International Airport where most chartered flights arrive and a smaller international airport in Pafos. Only international flights from Turkey land in the north of the island and if you wish to visit this part you must fly to Tel Aviv or Istanbul first.

By sea: Unless you decide to take a cruise around the Mediterranean, ferries depart from Turkey (for the north) and Greece, Israel and Egypt (for the south).


Getting around

Urban and inter-urban buses provide the public transport in Cyprus. Taxis operate also.
