Since it has been declared an independent state, more and more eateries have been popping up in Slovakia’s towns and cities. This is most noticeable in Bratislava which is enjoying being a new destination among travellers in Eastern Europe.
Along with breakfast, lunch and the main meal of the day, the Slovaks have different times of meals at set times not found in other countries known as ‘Bufet’. This is a small snack enjoyed just before lunch.
Some Slovakian specialities which are worth trying include bravèové koleno (knee of pork) andbryndzové halušky (dumpling with melted sheep cheese). The country is also has various vineyards which produces good wines.
