Regarding the staff and site this was the worst place I have ever been to. Dirty tables, no clean dishes, water from the cenotes, no electric power, strange ownership, not obviuos if the place in Tulum or Playa del Carmen was booked for me, terribly far away from civilaciation, horrible place, dirty toilets and showers which I did not use, stayed one night only. Please take this site out of your internet site. Regards Thomas

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The beach is paradise! Best we visited in Mexico. Not much happening, but perfect for a few days relaxing (BBQs, visiting local cenotes, walking along the deserted beach...). We loved it!

this hostel was horrific.i have stayed in several hostels in mexico and not had any problems until i arrived here. it was miles from the nearest shops and restaurants, but using the "kitchen" (which was outside and was filthy, as well home to lots of insects!) was not an option after seeing it. the rooms were like garden sheds, with holes in the walls and absolutely no privacy. we had to ask for a padlock for our door, & electricity was available for 4 hours a day! we left after 30 minutes!

This place is cute and have a specific charm. Staff are friendly and esay going. The bad point is the cabanas have no windows or opening in the walls. Imagine 29deg in the jungle in the night , 100% humidity, in a cabana with no air under a bug net. There is no ventilation, no air, I tried to sleep in a hammock after that and of course i didn\\\'t sleep at all. We changed place because having a complete sleeping night is important for me. If it was not this problem we probably stayed there.

The hostel was simply too far from town. The only way to eat at night was to cook in an extremely dirty kitchen & then the only time to get groceries was at 6pm when they made their run into town. I wish it was made clear that there were NO other real options for dining in the vicinity. I think this would be an ok place to stay IF you had rented a car or brought your own transportation...but the bikes were not in good shape and so we gave up after a day & moved to another place.

The location can be either a plus or minus, depending on what you want. We liked the hostel's rustic charm and peaceful location but were bummed out about the 100pesos taxis cost from town after going out drinking. Really liked the free buses to ruins/beach/town everyday, plus the cenote is cool. Could've done with lockers as our dorm was open the whole time. Plus the shower water is very weird and leaves you sticky! Staff are helpful and friendly.
