I had a great time here. The staff were great and welcoming. Sheila and Lucas were awesome in providing recommendations for activities, restaurants, and commuting. It had a laid back atmosphere which is great to have especially after a hectic, crazy day out in the city. And breakfast is provided! Facilities are awesome. And security was top-notch. Thanks for making my stay wonderful!
Top marks for this hostel, a really nice place to stay.
Excellent start for my South American backpacking trip. Lucas and the team were extremely helpful and gave excellent tips for traveling around Rio. Very cosy, clean rooms. A decent breakfast that filled throughout the day. Would recommend using this hostel to anyone visiting Rio. Tom
The worst beds ever. It's a shame as this hostel is otherwise a nice small hostel with a bar and small social area. No locks on dorm doors. Bathrooms were clean and wifi worked well. Location is ok, can walk to Sugar loaf and Botofogo beach. As this hostel charges a premium price it is not satisfactory to have such awful beds. I left to go to another hostel that was less than half the price and had much better beds.
Absolutely excellent stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and were great company to share a beer with. Their local knowledge was fab and made our stay really easy. We stayed in a 5 bed mixed dorm, very comfy (although did have noisy mattresses), with large lockers in the room (they provide padlocks free of charge) - and it even had a nice balcony. Breakfast was basic but very good. Location perfect to see all the sights of Rio, was sad to leave! Would recommend to anyone.
It's a small place and in the mixed dorm you may have to wait for the bathroom on the first floor. The best thing about this place is the staff, who are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Close to a beach and buses. When things run out at breakfast, they readily re-stock. I will probably go back.
Great atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for going anywhere around Rio easily plus the staff will tell you the exact buses to take. They have great suggestions. We had a great time there and honestly didn't want to leave!
One of the more expensive hostels I stayed at in Rio, but had a great atmosphere. Great shower, lockers big enough for your bag. Individual lamps and plugs by your bed. Really helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately the Internet was broken for my stay but staff did everything to help me check my flight somehow. Only con is beds are VERY noisy every time someone moves slightly you will probably wake up
I started out staying just three nights here, but extended my stay to nine nights! This hostel and its staff are the friendliest, most helpful I have ever had!! They made it feel like home! I recommend this hostel to anyone looking to stay in Rio, for a few days to weeks. It's at a great location, close to buses and the metro, but also grocery stores and the nightlife of Botafogo and Lapa.
Just want to say a huge thank you to the staff at 021. They were the friendliest and most helpful people you could hope to meet. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay in Rio. They offered honest and reliable advice and were a pleasure to be around. The hostel itself is small and welcoming and has a buzz and atmosphere that you don't find in many other places. Highly recommended and a big thank you from England! Adam, James, Jack and Chris. :)

Great location, great staff and great facilities.
The hostel is not that easy to find but the location is very central to see the hot spots of Rio. Staff is friendly, facilities are new and very well working. The matressess and pillows are out of plastic, not too comfortable. AC is freezing cold at night. Breakfast is one of the worst I had in Brazil so far. There is a big common area with cozy places to sit. It'a not a party place, but you can easily meet other travellers.
Perfect place to stay! Quite small hostel with lovely courtyard as common space and good bar to stay. Dorms and bathrooms are very clean. Staff is helpfull and really nice. I really recommend this place for the atmosphere. Easy to socialize, I met great people. Location is great, buses easy to take, all you need round the corner or a few minutes walking.
The best staff! They wanna help u with everything, just chatting or gives u all their advices. The bar and common-area is great for meating new people while traveling alone. Good location, liked the area aronund. only neg: AC stops at 8.30, should be a bit longer. I could stay only for 2 nights :( I def gonna stay there again if I'm back in Rio!
021 is perfectly located. Close to the metro, close to the busses to Corcovado and Sugarloaf, its very modern with a great patio. The staff are ABSOLUTELY GREAT, very helpful and even though I my flight was late at night I was able to stay in the hostel and use the facilities etc. Its the best choice in Rio de Janiero, i stayed in a double bed room, with private bathroom and aircon and it was worth the extra money. All the best to 021 team.
Really nice place to stay, great people stay and work here. Aircon could stay on a little longer or start later.
