Girlfriend and I stayed here for NYE. We were extremely happy with our stay here. The owners were extremely friendly and they made our stay in Rome just fantastic. We'd love to stay there again!

Friedrich provided lots of useful practical advice on visiting Rome when I arrived and am very grateful to him and his parents for their hospitality on New Years Eve. They hosted a reception for everyone in the hostel.

Character – This hostel has the character of a poorly managed old folks home in the U.S. People that stay here are busy with their own thing and little or nothing to do with you (makes it rough to share experiences). The place is decorated with aged posters and stuff hanging from the wall the likes of which you would find in a cheap antique store. If your wall is lucky to have wall paper, it is of something religious, making it seem you committed your soul to some monastery. Security – Three d

In matter of cleaness we are the best! ask to other guest. I even offered you a drink and came to get you to the metro.

I had a great stay at this guesthouse. I was in Rome for business and this was a perfect suit for that purpose. The guesthouse is calm, laidback, and incredibly clean, with nice amenities such as free (and good!) coffee and wifi. Friedrich is very helpful, quickly showing me what's what in the area. Should you be looking to party, another place might be better for you, but if you are coming to see Rome, 1 step from St Peter comes highly recommended.

This was a nice place to stay. It is much more of a bed & breakfast than a hostel, really the only thing that makes it a hostel is the shared bathrooms, which were very nice. Good location near the Vatican, nice place overall.

One of the best hostels I've been to.. the owners obviously take pride in their work and reputation. I've already recommended One Step from St. Peter's to several friends. Great value!

Good and very central B&B, close to Metro, but also walking distance to most places in town. Serv-yourself breakfast so you have something to start your day with, and free coffee/tea. Very nice and service minded owners, will deffinitly go back here if I go back to Roma.

Within walking distance of the Vatican. Spotlessly clean with free Tea Coffee etc. Would recommend for a single or couple looking for a few days to relax in Rome

This is the absolute truth. We enjoyed every moment of our time at 1 step from St. Peter. The room was spacious and orderly. Our host spent more than ample time orienting us to the city. It's a family run place, and as cozy as one's own flat. The surrounding neighborhood is convenient for shopping and public transport. We felt that our hosts had considered every detail, from the 24 hour expresso machine to the umbrella in every room. We recommend this place with all our hearts.

I felt like this location was very safe. The room was nice. I thought I would really dislike sharing a bathroom, but there were 3 bathrooms, so I never had to wait. There's a computer in the common area as well as some cold breakfast items and espresso machine. The owner was very helpful when we arrived. Would stay here again.

This was an excelent hostel. Very clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely and we particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and self service breakfast any time you chose. The room was amazing, much above the standard we were expecting.

Absolutely loved this guest house. Roberto met us when we arrived he took us through the map of Rome and gave us routes on how to spend each day so we would get the most from our trip. We were visitng during the weekend of the Wall Street Demonstrations and Roberto made sure to tell us which areas to avoid in the city and which days would be best to visit. We had a brilliant time and the location of the guesthouse was perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Rome. I would recommend to anyone.
