Stayed at this hostel for 6 nights. It was great! The breakfast has a wide variety. There is a cleaning staff that comes everyday so it is beautiful. The staff is very helpful as they gave us awesome food suggestions. Would come back in a heart beat.
We absolutely LOVED this spot. It was more perfect than I could have imagined. Roberto and his wife were so welcoming and helpful. I will be coming back one day!
Roberto was amazing!! He went above and beyond anything my sister and I expected!!! He made us esspreso every morning, he gave us detailed maps with roots drawn in to get to any location we wanted to go to. He sent us to affordable restaurants where locals ate that weren't expensive. He went out his way to track down famous Italian nouggut that is only availiable in December in Italy, and if that wasn't enough he also too us to the most famous pasta maker in Rome! I will stay again Thank you

Roberto and Katharina were my hosts and I was very pleased with my stay. The room I had (single private) was spacious and had a lot of natural light. The hosts are really careful about cleanliness. I was impressed with the fact that they give freebies that a lot of hostels would charge for - like coffee (great espresso shots) and flavoured yoghurt. In all, the place felt more like a home rather than a hostel and I would definitely recommend it, despite its location slightly far from the centre.
It was great! Thank you Roberto for being available for our arrival and departure times so we could collect our bags in the afternoon of the last day of our stay. P.S. we made it to our train in time :)
Fantastic hostel with a stocked kitchen, welcoming common area and big, clean bathrooms. Our host Roberto was very friendly and offered lots of awesome suggestions on must see attractions and great places to eat. Highly recommended!
It is a great location very near The Vatican , plenty of shops, restaurants, cafe to choose from, the staff was great and the owners as well. Very clean bed & breakfast, plenty of food, great internet connection... I wish I could have stayed longer definitely coming back and recommending it to family amd friends...
One of the best places I have ever stayed at. The owners are incredibly helpful and the location is excellent. Wi-fi is fast and the facilities are excellent but it is the owners that make this place so good. Best tourist attractions, fresh markets, excellent pizzerias/gelaterias are all marked on a map for you upon arrival. I had a very relaxing time here and will be recommending it to friends.

My stay at 1 step from St. Peter has been the best hostel experience I have had during my travels. The hostel comes equipped with everything you would need, the rooms and common area are immaculately clean, and most importantly, the staff are extremely friendly and kind. If you are looking for a clean, safe home to retreat to during your travels, 1 step from St. Peter is the best place to look.
We spent four nights here. We had a nice welcome from Freidrick on arrival and he spent extra time telling us about the area. The location was great. Only ten minutes walk to the Vatican and five minutes to the train station. There was a fridge available for general use as well as a computer at no cost. We had the place to ourselves most of the time as some of the rooms were vacant. I'd definitely recommend this place if you want to escape noisy hostels.
this was a really nice hostel, the best we stayed in on our trip across Italy, definitely would recommend to everybody!
Pros-- -Location is pretty good. Close to metro and bus stop; It's clean (although they don't clean your room/change sheets--just take out the trash); There's a safe in the room; Staff tries to be helpful; Breakfast Cons-- -The toilets don't flush properly at times; One of the bathroom doors is broken so you can't lock it; The maid knocks early in the morning and comes in even if you're sleeping; Poor directions from management on how to get to places; No blinds so very bright in the mornings.
Great place to stay and the owners are extremely nice and helpful. Quiet and away from the craziness of Rome but still close to Vatican City.
