We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1 Step from St Peter. The facility was extremely clean and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location was terrific - just a few blocks from a Metro station or just a few more blocks to the heart of the city. We would recommend this B&B to our best friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1 Step from St Peter. This place is so beautiful, convenient and awesome that I almost don\'t want to tell anyone else how great it is. It is just around the corner from the Ottaviano stop in Rome, minutes away from St. Peter\'s and the Vatican Museums. There is an elevator and I think it is in a great neighborhood. You can save even more money by buying groceries at the local market and eating there. Friedrich is really accomodating and knowlegable about the area. Excellent place to stay in Rome ,I couldn't add more than people already had said in these highly positive reviews which were,by the way,the main reason to choose it and now I'm so happy I did. I see the importance of writing such more or less unbiased comments about places people stay- helps a lot to make a right decision. If I come back to Rome some day I'd stay here again for sureExcellent place to stay in Rome ,I couldn't add more than people already had said in these highly positive reviews which were,by the way,the main reason to choose it and now I'm so happy I did. I felt right at home here and, as I had just found out some bad news from home their genuine hospitality and help was greatly appreciated. Internet access was fast and easy - something you do not always get when travelling. The living room was a great meeting place with coffee and easy kitchen access. Thanks for a great stay. I loved this place! They were VERY accommodating and everything was just as good as expected. The area was safe and about 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican from the Hotel. You are also only about 2 blocks from the Metro which was great. They gave me maps and recommendations about the area. Again, I had a great time staying there!

wow! this place rocks! it's kind of place that can really spoil you.
the owners are super nice and generous - really good coffee/espresso, free cable tv, fast internet (no wifi though), soft towels, a/c, etc.. seriously, i can go on and on.
also, it's 5 minute walking distance to a metro station, so you can pretty much get to anywhere you want.
finally and most importantly, the place is extremely clean and beautiful! awesome! just awesome!wow! this place rocks! it's kind of place that can really spoil you.

The woman that ran the B&B was very friendly but spoke no English. The rooms were bright and cheery, and we had everything we needed (except A/C). If you go in the summer, prepare for mosquito bites while you sleep at night! The place was hard to find even with the extensive directions e-mailed to us after we booked. But Venice itself is a bit maze-like.The woman that ran the B&B was very friendly but spoke no English. The rooms were bright and cheery, and we had everything we needed (except A/C). Stayed in this excellent BB in mid August.Family that owns the place is very friendly, helpful. I happened to be the only guest who booked those days(Italian cities are deserted in August!),so I kind off had the whole place to myself: kitchen,2 bathrooms, livingroom w. cable tv & internet :-).I could even use the owners bike!
Close to the metro and the basilica.I'd recommend this hotel mostly to people who are travelling in duo or with a group, since you won't meet fellow travellers here easily.Stayed in this excellent BB in mid August.Family that owns the place is very friendly, helpful.
