Highly recommended! The owner is super responsive and helpful, the common rooms are stocked with maps, postcards--everything. We had access to the kitchen and breakfast foods whenever, the bathrooms were spacious and had hair dryers and various other supplies, and the owner even did our laundry! The building and room were adorable and so comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The location is great for visiting the Vatican city, though about a 25 minute walk to other attractions. A great place to stay!

For the money, this place has everything you could ask for: free wifi, breakfast, Italian coffee, linens, towels, food in the fridge, safes in the rooms, postcards, and all kinds of other things. I actually had some amenities that my parents didn't have, who were staying in a 4-star hotel. The location is convenient, just a few blocks from the nearest metro station, and a 10 minute walk from the Vatican. Most of all, the owner Robert and the staff are incredibly nice and welcoming. Very clean.

A great B&B with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are massive, as are the bathrooms, and everything is immaculately clean. The doors can be a bit tricky, with their skeleton keys, but take it for what it is. A great selection for breakfast, and it's literally a five minute walk from the Vatican! It can be a bit of a nuisance contacting the staff before arrival (there's no permanent reception). I would definitely come back here!

Such a quaint B&B! It is a little far from the city, only close to the Vatican, but there is a metro close to it so very easy to get to all of the sites. The staff was so nice, and the room felt like home! Very clean facilities too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet little place in a cute neighborhood.

Great hostel: clean, spacious, nice and helpful staff and good facilities. Only down side is that making it all the way from the city centre back to the hostel can become quite a burden as the bus services are not that frequent and stop early in the night. Metro is fine but Rome being Rome, of course you cannot catch it just anywhere. The location makes it great to avoid queuing to Saint Peter & Vatican Museum early in the morning though. Would definitely recommend that hostel.

Everything was so good, I didn't have even the tiniest problem during my stay at 1 Step from St Peter, so it's highly recommended for all those who want to live next to the City of Vatican in Rome at affordable price.

Friedrich provided lots of useful practical advice on visiting Rome when I arrived and am very grateful to him and his parents for their hospitality on New Years Eve. They hosted a reception for everyone in the hostel.
