We really enjoyed our time at the guest house and will recommend it to everyone coming to Rome. Friendly staff, we felt very much at home!

Character – This hostel has the character of a poorly managed old folks home in the U.S. People that stay here are busy with their own thing and little or nothing to do with you (makes it rough to share experiences). I had a great stay at this guesthouse. I was in Rome for business and this was a perfect suit for that purpose. The guesthouse is calm, laidback, and incredibly clean, with nice amenities such as free (and good!) coffee and wifi. Friedrich is very helpful, quickly showing me what's what in the area. Should you be looking to party, another place might be better for you, but if you are coming to see Rome, 1 step from St Peter comes highly recommended.

This was a nice place to stay. It is much more of a bed & breakfast than a hostel, really the only thing that makes it a hostel is the shared bathrooms, which were very nice. Good location near the Vatican, nice place overall.
