Really clean hostel, cheap surf lessons! Staff all very friendly and helpful, free laundry, good kitchen facilities, and free bike hire!! Also just a 10 min walk down to the shops. Would stay here again!

Room didnt have safe like it says outside in every room. Quite a walk to town and to the beach. Kitchen was often a mess and our room had a dead cockroach in it the entire time we stayed. Really great place to relax, not a lot going on in the evenings, but great DVD options, and air conditioning in rooms and clean bathrooms really appreciated. Ordered a twin, then was put in a double then was put in a dirty doom. The unhappy staff member/night manager telling us it was clean when it clearly was not. I mean dirty, mud on the floor and bio SMELL. Then when we asked for a refund she said it was not possible-pfft BS. Heavy economic policy going on in this hostel. On the upside we met some really great girls, we went to the local bar, did night beach till early morn. Soooo secret to staying here - GET SOCIAL - GET DRUNK AND GET HUNG OVEROrdered a twin, then was put in a double then was put in a dirty doom. The bathrooms are massive and the airconditioning is a blessing. 5 minute walk from the beach, free bikes, cheap beer (cheaper than Airlie Beach anyways). Great place to do the Scooterroo and $17 surf lessons from. Love this hostel! Our room was amazing, so clean and comfortable. Free laundry and nice bar for evening drink. Excellent cooking facilities too. Great location, a very short walk to the beach.
