The welcoming was really nice, the complimentary beer is a great idea. We felt pretty secure during our two nights stay. This hostel is really well situated and consist in student lodging converted to hostel during the high season. Cons:Never got the towel we paid a surcharge for, nightstaff is useless to clients wanting something (towels for ex.), our neighbour smoked, we did not return for the other two nights, the night staff could not process our cancellation so we lost money.overpriced.

The bathrooms and hallways were very dirty and poorly maintained.

The building itself needs A LOT of remodeling, there was no trash bins anywhere, except one near the elevators, which, of course, was filled with garbage for too long. The looks of the building is awful. There was never any toilet paper.

We arrived just two weeks after they had taken over the premises and unfortunately it showed. Despite having good potential, the communal areas littered with old bits of furniture, the rooms were scruffy and dirty, the toilet didn't flush and the door, even when locked, wasn't very secure. They could do with putting a sign/number on the window (our taxi driver got lost). All in all, disappointing, but could easily be improved. On the plus side, great location and very friendly staff.

Generally the staff was great, but the manager failed to take our reasonable request seriously (or to properly follow-up). The facilities are pretty worn down, and were misrepresented on the pictures. The price and location had some redeeming value, but the fact that the pictures led us to expect more, made the overall experience disapointing. Whereas, had I known from the get go that it was a run-down student res, I would have been fine with it.
