It's located next to the Real Plaza which makes shopping and buying supplies very easy. There is a beautiful art museum across the street and a decent pizza place right next door. You need to ring up for access through the locked security gate which is an extra bonus considering the location can be a bit sketchy after dark.

All the staff are bilingual which makes it very easy to get along. There is a tour/information guide on site which helps to get the correct information for whatever you plan and she also sells tickets for buses, tours and events.

I liked my 2 nights here. Basic commododities but wifi truly blows. Everything was cool, the basics you'd expect.

1900 backpackers is in a beautiful old building. They're in a great location and there is a daily free guided walking tour to the landmarks of the historic district - very beautiful. My single private room had clean sheets and looked good but found two dead roaches on the floor the next morning. Good wifi, great bar and restaurant, great activities organized by the hostel.

I like the atmospher of the hostel in the old spanish house and the staff was always kind and helpfull. Fajne miejsce i fajna obsluga.

A real hostel: many travelers, load musik @ bar in the evening, international staffm,... if you want this, this is the hostel to stay

Staff are clumsy, beds are not comfortable, nobody at the bar during the day so it's hard to get a bottle of water, rock show on across the road which can be heard throughout the whole hostel, I would never come back

Great experience at 1900 Hostel, lots of help and plenty of space to hangout in peace. They were also very accommodating- thanks guys and gals, you rock! :)

Not nearly as swanky as the hostel's promotional video makes out but still a nice place, well laid out with lots of original colonial features. Only issue was that the door to our room was not very secure, one firm push and it would open. Staff were very helpful.
