Only one of the 2 person working there was nice and friendly. The other one was careless and any request sounded like a lot. Area is not really interesting and a bit dangerous. No internet and even for the "free" 10 minutes of wifi you have to create some kind of account with a credit card number No Free breakfast Bathrooms are not in suffisant number and looks far from very clean Parking is too small (you can't get there without a car) One room is nice (mix dorm), the other are ugly (no light)

A truly great place in a rough neighborhood. 2Bhappy lodge is somewhat of an oasis in the Johannesburg roughest part of town where we were the only white people in sight. We accepted the transportation service from the airport to the hostel which worked out just fine. At the hostel we went to a restaurant only three blocks away and I must say it was the best food we had during our entire stay in SA. Inside the security gate @ 2Bhappy you feel really at home and the place is just fantastic.

2b is a fantastic hostel! You feel right at home and the staff is very helpful - you always feel safe. Would definitely recommend it for any budget traveller spending time in Joburg.

Patience, Righteousness, Gloria and Tato - you guys are amazing. It was like home away from home. We absolutely loved it! Already recommended it to everyone I know! (Don't book through Hostelworld though, it's cheaper to book through their homepage.)

One of the best places I've ever been to! Amazing staff - make you feel at home, cook for you (for a very small price), always available to help, and they make a delicious birthday breakfast :-) Amazing area - Yeoville is safe, very colourful, and has great places for going out in the evening. The people are very welcoming to strangers Great rooms, with place to put your stuff and to lock it away. Only minus: internet is expensive, but there's an internet cafe which is cheap

The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. It was a comfortable and pleasant environment, felt like a home away from home. Shame I couldn't stay longer
