We excepted rather dirty and unpleasant hostel because of the bad reviews here. We were surprised that the rooms were actually quite clean and comfortable. The building itself was old so maybe some people think its dirty but we think that it brought lot of character to the place. There is little bit to improve in showers and staff wasn't the best we have seen, but in the end we still recommend this place. And the location is superb because of the restaurants around.

It has a good location right next to görlitzer park in kreuzberg, but the cleanliness drags down my thoughts about the stay. Good staff that helps you alot.

Unreal location with amazing food, bars and good proximity to U bahn station. But half the people we talked to had stories of theft from in the hostel (same old story - cleaners suspected), the beds were stained and more like saggy camp beds and the bathrooms were usually pretty filthy. Might have just caught them on an off week.

i would love to stay there again. i will surely come back, it was clean, cosy and it didn't cost a lot! the mood was calm, people were quiet and cool and i liked the interior. big, bright rooms with ok beds. could have used more bathrooms, though.

They use a key system for the doors to the multi-bed rooms that make you manually lock and unlock the doors. this system then makes it impossible for you to be sure that the door is locked when leaving baggage/ items inside due to the constant coming and going of guests. They do have lockers in the rooms so bring a lock if you have valuables. I didn't bring anything of value so it was fine for me. Also the place is really worn down but it adds to the charm!

They couldn't find my other reservation for my two friends who came later and then wanted to charge me the day after, cause they didn't showed up. Anyway, it was solved and everything worked out.

The worst hostel I ever been. Pictures of the room are photoshoped or something, reality is different and you are not gonna like it - beds, lamp, lockers looks like they been used for 20 years.

Looked very nice on picture. Not the same in reality. Feels very empty and dark. The showers wasn't working my first night there, and it didn't seem like anyone made an effort to fix it. Eventually one of the showers worked, and that's when I changed hostel. The mattresses are quite swompy and filthy and the staff doesn't seem to care about either you or the hostel. They have free wi-fi though. Don't choose 36 Rooms if you want a warm & comfy place after your night out.

Das Hotel ist selbst schön, aber: - Gänge sind keine ( tagelangen) Rumpelkammern für entsorgte Schmuddelmatratzen, - Nachtruhe statt laut grölenden (Suff-?) Bewohnern mit Treppenproblemen KEIN Luxus!! (MitarbeiterInnen an Rezeption könnten einschreiten) - Minimale Ausstattung in der Küche (Tassen, Teller?) - Sauberkeit und Pflege wären zu verbessern.

I woke up one morning and the guy that also slept in our dorm was sitting on my bed and touching me, having his hand on the inside of my blanket and touching my thigh. I don't know what happened to that guy and the hostel always chnaged staff so there was the never the same girl there who I talked to, I just want to know that if that happens, that the person will get more of a punishment than "you can't stay here anymore" because things like that will make girls refrain from staying in dorms.

Good hostel. Great location. NIce double rooms. Good equiped kitchen. Staff helpfull as posible.

The hostel is in an excellent position, the rooms are quite clean and the atmhosphere is good for students or young people. The facilities are basic, there's no soap in the bathroom.

Overall it was a good value I just had a problem with how dirty the dorm room was.

Really cheap dorms if u book them through internet. Cannot complain about anything for that price :)

Special attention go out to the receptionists who did a fine job and were so friendly, even in the craziest situations. Special thanks to Marie, Rich the Czech, Gaell, The most beautiful Basque surfergirl I ever saw but of which I could not remember the name if my life depended on it, etc.

Brilliant stay. Great location, good sized room.

I do not recommend this hostel at all!! The price for such conditions is silly! the hostel looks very creepy, bathrooms were not clean, and when you were moving in the room the room was moving with you (I am talking about the floor) and make very loud noises. To all of this the staff was not helpful at all!! So please do not choose this hostel!! I spent nights in tree different hostels in Berlin and only this one is not worth to go.
