There was no climatization so the room got uncomfortable. There were several showers and bathrooms, adequate for our floor. The atmosphere was good. The place was good to go out because there was always a lot of activity around. Although there were a lot of stairs, being high up is good because of the noise from the street.
This hostel was nice and cosy. The location was not exactly Kreuzberg but there were some cosy bars nearby.
I loved it!! It was very clean and everyone (both including the staff and the guests at the moment) were really friendly and pleasant to be around!! It makes you feel at home, even the shared bathrooms are big enough so there's never any waiting, everyone greets you politely and the workers are always willing to help you out with directions/info or whatever else you need!! A+

Kreuzberg is the best part of Berlin, but be aware this hostel is noisy. At least with rooms towards the back yard. Kids shouting and singing in the hallways without the staff doing anything about it.
36 rooms is an awesome hostel in Kreuzberg which is one of the coolest hippest neighborhood in Berlin. THe hostel is a great place to meet people. It's a very social atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the city nightlife and tourist attractions. The rooms are very hot with no AC.
Not great mattresses but you get what you pay for. Great value for money!
The location is excellent, with an U-bahn stop just around the corner and tons of cafes and bars within a few minutes. Facilities, showers and so on were all very average, nothing spectacular. The biggest complaint I have is the noise, since all the doors were very old and it was practically impossible not to wake up every time someone entered your room during the night. But I would definitely recommend if just for the location (but bring earplugs).
I stayed here for 3 nights in a 8 bed dorm and are somewhat satisfied! The room was nice and beautiful, the beds were alright! Also nice kitchen. Great location close to u-bahn, goerlitzer park and grocery store! Altough not very happy about the bathrooms, absolutely no privacy while showering and a bit dirty but not too bad! Not a very nice place if you're traveling alone since it doesn't have that backpacker atmosphere at all, but great place for couples and groups of friends!
