Great hostel! nice atmosphere, good restaurant with Chinese and Western menu, excellent location in a very colorful and traditional area, near Tianmen Square and Xianmen East Rd, 8mins walk from MTR Qianmen Station, large and clean rooms with good size lockers for your bag and valuables, decent wifi, two computers available, clean and large bathrooms, helpful and friendly staff, everybody at reception and restaurant speaks English, which comes handy。I‘d definitelly recommend this Hostel。

The food was good, the room was clean and the location is great for access to the major attractions in Beijing. We got conflicting information on tours for the attractions and the front desk folks weren't too friendly, but still professional. Would definitely recommend the place based on the location to the attractions, but the good food and bar was a great bonus.

A nice hostel with very helpfull staff (my phone was stolen, so could use some support). Location is also perfect. Just the rooms are not thst well isolated, so you hear a lot of sounds from the corridor (especially doorms). Dont take one of the rooms on the bottom floor, than you hear all night people going to the toilet from the bar. A good hostel, but there might be better ones in Beijing.

we enjoyed our stay at this hostel; the staff were great, rooms were clean, the bathrooms were nice with clean and modern showers. the kitchen is a bit small, and the fridge was pretty foul, cleanliness in this department could be improved upon. was really great having the restaurant and bar downstairs, couldn't hear the noise from our room at all.

Stayed in a two-bed room. Still like the place for the location & the atmospere (partly) But: - no shower shade (=> floor is all wet after one person took shower) - no disposable slippers (and the ones that were there didn't look too clean) - window faces a wall. literally. although it gets some light, but you can't even tell what weather is outside. - not enough light (even with all the lights on). - too noisy music at the cafe

Great place to stay in the city center, in the hutongs near tian an men! it is the second time I stay there (first time three years ago) and it is still great! If I just have one negative point, they don't provide lockers. but you can buy if in the supermarket just in front. at night, the bar is really nice!

Close to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the subway this hostel is a great choice for a few days Beijing. Smack in the middle of all the action there are good places to eat. Security was a little bit of an issue as the dorms could not be locked. Also their system of security where you pay 1RMB every time you need a locker is a bit inconvenient. A precaution to the budget traveller: Don't eat at the restaurant. The food is of mediocre quality and very expensive.

A very good hostel, close to perfection. It is located in the new "old town", 10 min away from Tiananmen square. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are very confortable, which is not common in China, for this price range.

1. Very disappointed I couldn't use my Bank of China debit card to pay for the room. Had to find an ATM to withdraw money which wasn't easy or convenient. 2. I spilled a drop of tea and cleaned it up with a corner of the hand towel. The housekeeper then notified the front desk that it was destroyed. They made me pay 10 yuan for this "destroyed" towel which had seen better days in the first place. It was ridiculous!!! We kept it, washed it and it is now spotless!

The location is good and staff helpful and friendly but... our room smelled of sewerage every time we opened the bathroom door and the graffiti in the stairwell makes the place feel more like a frat room than a hostel. 'Condoms and lube' is not the message I want to read each morning when heading out for the day. This is the first time I've stayed in a hostelworld recommended place and not been completely impressed :(
