The Hostel was built in an old tipical brazilian house and there was no improvement to make this house a hostel. I didn't like the house itself because it seemed that the owners and the staff don't care about the place. The rooms outside the house stinks and are very small (4 people). The bathrooms are quite dirty and they give you old sheets and a horrible pillow. The location and the breakfast are great, next to the subway and to a bus station that can take you almost anywhere in são paulo.

Goog location, central and close to the metro but the rooms are not the cleanest with rock hard beds. The showers did not always have hot water and the toilets felt a bit dirty.

Really close to the metro, nice garden area, rooms were nice but if you are next to the kitchen it can be very loud at night with the music.

The 3dogs Hostel is really easy to get to (only a few stops on the Metro from the Sao Paulo bus station), very clean, welcoming and well organised. The owner speaks excellent English, and provides a lot of helpful information for having a good time in Sao Paulo. Good kitchen for cooking your own dinner, and a good breakfast included. Definitely recommended, especially for the shady patio, perfect for relaxing with a beer after a hard day´s sightseeing!

Besides excellent location and super friendly environment, the hostel has a lack of cleaning (stained bed sheets and ashtrays full of cigarettes everywhere). The breakfest is also very good and well served, nobody went out without be satisfied (cheers for the tasty cake).

Not impressed. Beds like concrete - no extra pillows/blankets. Got NO sleep after a 24 hour flight as couches were located outside our window where the staff had joined the party-ers and continued to scream and squeal until about 4:30 in the morning (both nights), ignoring 12am curfew and repeated requests for quiet. Breakfast was good. Anyone was let in and allowed to sleep in courtyard even if they weren't guests - no security.

Very disappointed with this hostel. We stayed here only one night while passing through Sao Paulo. We were shocked and appalled by the rudeness of the staff.

This hostel is in a great area and the staff are really helpful and friendly, the breakfast delicious (especially the cake!) The negatives are the pillows are as thin as paper and our room, for some reason, kept filling with smoke (we have no idea where from). It was so bad that we all got sore throats and had terrible nights sleep. Serious problem. Other than that, pretty good hostel.

I just really want everyone to know how brilliant this hostel is. The owner sits down with you and gives you a map with list of things to do and explains everything patiently, even if you rock up at midnight. It's lovely setting and you really feel like your staying with a big dysfunctional family.

Music piped into the upstairs toilets is not necessary. Its just another source of noise. If you want to hear the music you can go downstairs. very good breakfasts.

Very cool atmostphere and an extremely helpful staff. The location is really nice because it`s off the main avenues and is quite a bit more relaxed. The patio was great for hanging out and the drink deals were fantastic! Also, good prices and a cool crowd made the experience more fun. I can only reduce my review because the internet-rental netbook did not work at all, and someone stole my churrasco from the fridge. Still, 3dogs was a great choice and I very much recommend it to any traveler
