Absolutely wonderful experience. My friend/teammate and I went up to Edinburgh kind of last second and this was the only place left with space, but we were both incredibly happy we stayed there. The hosts were so kind, and once they realized we were not a couple (private room en suite with a double) they happily gave us a camping cot. Some might think the location is only good since you do have to walk a couple blocks to get to the more touristy areas, but we though otherwise! Great place!

Room comfortable and quiet, breakfast was basic but adequate. A mirror in the room would be useful for drying your hair. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 46 Pilrig Street. We were made to feel very welcome and felt 'at home', especially chatting over breakfast. The position is good because it is within walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh and, is between Leith and Edinburgh city. Pilrig Street is off Leith Road which has many eating and drinking establishments with both Scottish and International flavours.

Had a wonderful stay and would without hesitation recommend it to anyone traveling to Edinburgh. The hosts gave me such a warm welcome, the house and its rooms are beautiful, great bed and bathroom, and a good breakfast with excellent coffee and tea. The 15 min walk is well worth it.

Our stay at 46 was perfect. We loved our large, light, airy twin bedded room with its en suite bathroom. Our hosts couldn't have been kinder. The continental breakfast was very good. We liked the location as being a comfortable walking distance from the centre with lots of buses nearby-one actually using pilrig street.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay. About a mile from the city center, but on several bus lines and it's a nice walk too! Comfortable room and very nice breakfast!
