Close to the bus terminal and to the center of Salta. Good breakfast and nice staff. Rooms and bathrooms are clean.
Really liked this hostel - we went back three times in between our various excursions around northern Argentina. So welcoming, so comfortable (stayed in both dorms and private rooms). Strong wifi (watched Netflix, yay!), lovely showers, nice breakfast. Best of all the staff were amazing and very helpful. We got an excellent overview of the city and a guide to changing money on the blue market (including how to check notes). The housekeeper is sooo lovely, a real sweetheart. Fab hostel!
The most spotless hostel I have been in. Laid back, quiet, staff is excellent, location is perfect next to restaurants, grocery store, huge lockers in the room, beds so comfortable, a lot of bathrooms/showers, just everything! for 3 & stayed 6 - definitely stay here. Diane
Well located halfway between the bus terminal and the main plaza, and close to an ATM and supermarket. Staff were all really friendly. The rooms are on the small side, and it was kind of hard to get on to the top bunk as there was a fan in the way of the ladder.
I didn't spend much time in this hostel, but I liked it. The kitchen was big enough, it had plenty of shared bathrooms and a nice backyard, and the staff was great. The room was OK, it had a nightstand and a clothes rack (not all hostels have them). It could have been closer to the center, but Salta is very walkable. Thumbs up!
Nice hostel! We stayed just 1 night, but could have stayed for longer! Breakfast is nothing special but ok, we would recommend it!
7 Duendes is a basic but nice hostel with lots of open air spaces. Members of the staff are very friendly and helpful - I had an issue with a money transfer and the guy at the reception helped me by making several phone calls - , although in most cases they don't speak english. The room I slept in was tiny but ok, bed was confy, and breakfast was definitely good. The kitchen is quite big and it becomes a sociable area, as well as the garden. Would recommend!
Wonderful owners who made sure we felt comfortable. They gave us a double room even though we booked a dorm. Very nice and welcoming!
good value for money. clean and tidy, good kitchen facilities and t.v room with heaters. the staff were very friendly and helpful here. good location too. our 4 bed dorm was very basic, walls were paper thin and could hear everything at all hours of the night, other people arriving and going late etc. other than that good stay.
This is a great hostel!!! Nice atmosphere and friendly Staff that Helped me to get tours and informations about city. Near of bus station and center city. Good breakfast... I hadn´t no problem there.
Good Hostel, close to the bus Station, nice garden, Good breakfast :)
Friendly owners, hot showers, good location. No complaints!
Maybe they could warn the guests about security issues, I was tried to be robbed in the corner of the street of the hostel.

I had a fantastic stay at the 7 Duendes! The location is fantastic -- 6 blocks from the bus terminal and 6 from the main commercial district. Moreover, it is located around the corner from a supermarket and ATM. The hostel is spacious with great outdoor common areas. At the same time, there is a cozy atmosphere and it is easy to meet other guests. There are many bathrooms, an abundance of hot water and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Many tours and activities can be booked.
Good hostel, good kitchen, comfy beds, nice size rooms, some smaller than others but generally fine. Very secure, staff are ok, not very bilingual but they try. Have good arrangement with tour companies. WARM SHOWERS 24/7. Great place to meet people, not strict on checkout. Can hang about all day. Would stay st again.
Great hostel in Salta, very close to the main park, 10 minute walk to bus station, 10 minutes to main square. Very friendly and helpful staff, some speak English. Small rooms but nice outdoor area to relax in, great vibe. Free breakfast everyday is pretty good and everyone eats in a little communal kitchen, great atmosphere.
Very friendly stuff, especially during the week, were ready to answer all of our questions. Big lockers, hot water, heating (were the three most important things for me) and met really cool people.
Cheap and cheerful. Rooms a tad small but ok for what you are paying. Has a camping feel. Good location.
