A good hostel that could benefit greatly from a little TLC but still more than reasonable and certainly good value for the price. Staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and warm and the rooms are quite large with good sized lockers.

This place has a lot of potenial, the outdoor area is great fo chilling with other travellers however it would be way better with comfy couches and a bit of TLC. The hostel is kind of dirty and lacks a decent indoor lounge area. The beds suck if your´re a tall person. Having said all that I enjoyed my stay there and met cool people.

Lots of different staff but very helpful with a relaxed atmosphere. Felt homely. Kitchen could do with some improving but I'd stay there again.

LOVED-- staying here. The staff was friendly and helpful, helped book my excursions for me, also had a variety of pamphlets for different excursions around Salta. The beds were nice and comfy, the bathrooms great as well--nice warm water and good water pressure. The kitchen was large with many different pots and pans available for cooking. The breakfast was a typical Argentinian breakfast of just toast and jam, but they also had cereal, and the toast was yummy as well. Overall awesome!

The owner is awesome. So helpful. Host is very outdoorsy. Gray when it's sunny, not so great when it rains. Seems to draw a great crowd. I would highly recomened!

Great reception! They offered me breakfast and the internet as soon as I arrived. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the travellers were all great. Great value for my money.

good hostel, idealy located between the bus station and the central plaza. simple breakfast around a big kitchen table in a fully equipped kitchen. dorm rooms have a nice size (two bunk beds) with big lockers for big backbags. Would come again.

Good value. Wi-fi was fast. Dorms were comfortable w/ large lockers. Linens and towels were clean. Baños could be tuned-up a bit (leaky faucets, poor toilet paper dispensers). Slight shortage of chairs, tables and lounge areas when hostel is busy. Avoid rip-off teleferico in Salta. Cerro San Bernardo is overhyped and well below average. *Do not support unplugged hostels in Uruguay. Owner is a thief and a liar. Beware of currency fraud.

Staff was superb! Super friendly, laidback and extremely helpful...they truly made the place. Showers were hot, rooms and bathroom were clean, you can do your laundry there if needed. It did get a bit noisy at night and most people convened together around the kitchen area but overall great value for money and great place to meet other travelers.

A good one, but something to say: a few days after I left, and due to communication problems of my own, a worried relative of mine called the hostel to ask if I was still hosted there. They answered that i Never was, although I stayed for 2 nights (!) A really bad after-taste for a good experience in a nice hostel.

Stayed here just for one night, but the hostel and staff were friendly and helpful enough. A bit far from the center, but within walking distance of the bus station.

We had a good stay in 7 Duendes, the hostel is in a good location and serves as a good base for exploring Salta. We stayed in the 6 bed dorm, and our main issue was that due to the lack of air conditioning it did become rather hot and humid during the night. The showers were clean and always had hot water, and while the kitchen was easy to use and well equiped we did spot a few sneaky roaches creeping about which was a bit off putting. A backpacker hostel for backpacker standards.
