I stayed there just for one night. It was perfect because it's just 5 minutes walk to the busterminal. Nice rooms and great kitchen. Very nice staff that booked a bus ticket for me.
This place is well located for the bus station, so good for short stays. There werent enough power points in the dorm and the printer was not working during my stay. Otherwise, a good hostel with friendly staff :) good shower, good WiFi.
I cannot rate this hostel higher, the staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean, the showers were hot, the kitchen was awesome and the location is superb! Muchisimas gracias 7 duendes! I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone
I had a great time and met many new friends here. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff were super friendly, always willing to have a chat, and they were very helpful with booking tours and hostels in other cities, too :)
Nice big lockers are great and Jose was fantastic. They weren't very helpful organising activities or tours. Wandering down to Buenos Aires street was easy enough to organise yourself though.
Only stayed one night but happy with everything. Friendly staff. The sheets need replacing as they're very raggedy, as with the odd shaped pillows. Kitchen was pretty good, lovely garden & patio area at the back of the property. Nice quiet. I've but meet lots of fellows travellers easily.
Great stay at a great price, only problem was wifi was not was not working however the helpful manager offered us a discount even though it was not their fault, overall great place for a good price with great staff!

Average hostel, wifi gone for our stay so that was frustrating as we needed to plan next part of trip! Just spent one night and was glad that was it-could do with updating, room felt like roof could cave in and there were a lot of leaks in bathroom. Staff were very friendly but little or no English. Rained while we were there which really limited common areas to hang out so had to stay in room or kitchen!
Very average breakfast, didn't seem to be much of an atmosphere but we only stayed 1 night and was perfect for what we needed. Staff were friendly.
We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, and general quietness. It's easy to strike up a conversation or ignore people. Breakfast is just alright (no juice), WiFi is decent but only in the open roof patio unless you want to stay in the dining room. The personnel is nice and friendly, the shower are hot and functional.
This hostel has AMAZING staff and is a super good deal money-wise. The wifi is good and the breakfast is good, but it is pretty far from the center of town. You have to walk outside to get from your room to the bathroom so that's not the best but I did really love this place.
A great hostel. A little further from the centra compared to other hostels but is near to the bus station so ideal for those arriving by bus. The rooms are spacious and the communal spaces are well equipment including a kitchen and tv room. The staff are always around and were very helpful when I was trying to work out how to get to my next destination.
Perfect for a short stay, wifi is there but only in certain areas. Good size kitchen but there are cockroaches. Bathrooms are nice and clean, as is the room. The overall atmosphere is quiet, so as I said perfect for a short stay.
Very quiet hostel (i think we might of been the only ones staying for two days). However, staff were friendly, kitchen was good and had a cool outside tv area but only a handful of the dvd collection are working. Good breakfast, would recommend if you´re looking for a quiet stay.
Positive: close to the terminal and downtown, markets and restaurants nearby, quiet area, big kitchen, hot showers, basic breakfast Negative: there's no non smokers area delimited which is really annoying for non smokers like me, even at the reception the manager of the hostel was smoking, really weak wifi, no sockets in the common areas.
Location was great (located a few blocks from the centre & bus station). Beds were comfy but facilities were basic.
Good breakfast, close to cable cars. Helpful staff, hot showers. Could have poor plugs in rooms, wifi only in common area.
Good location, clean spacious rooms and nice hot showers. Communal space a bit rough around the edges and dated. Not a hostel to sit and chill out in the evening but a good value bed, shower and breakfast.
Every room is off an outdoor common area/ Room was small. Breakfast was nothing special. One of the workers spoke good english and the other 2 spoke none, although they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Was in a good location within walking distance to everything. I would definitely stay here again if i ever make it back to Salta!
Home away from home! I have stayed in a lot of hostels and in different countries, and '7 Duendes' is one of the best. They take care of you 100% of the time. The place is clean, well located and safe. The staff is unbelievably helpful and kind. I could not say enough good things about the place and the lovely people who work there. If you go to Salta, you have to stay here. Also, if you are traveling on your own and a female, this is definitely the place to go.
