It was great having an air conditioner and the beds seemed clean, however the showers were so filthy that they had me gagging. They floors had always been 'just mopped' but the amount of mould was foul. It stank so much on the first night, it smelled like rotten fish. Ew.

Decent enough hostel located near the action close to Central station great for partying not great for sleeping!!! Need more toilets per floor!! 2 toilets and 2 showers for each floor is not enough I nearly wet myself one night!!

Good friendly hostle convenient location

Lodgers and staff were very friendly , location close to central station very convenient, cost gets you all you'd pretty much expect for a hostel. Bathrooms were small and had mildew, bedrooms were okay but beds were thin and small. Shared kitchen facilities pretty good though. Didn't spend a lot of time at the place, and wouldn't particularly want to.

Bathrooms were too dirty.

As there appears to be no noise control in regards to boarders making excessive constant noise in corridors in sleeping hours until 3.30am. Ear plugs are a must have item, control measures should be put in place for the well being of people trying to get a good nights sleep. Apart from the above complaint, overall the accommodation was value for money as it is situated in a very convenient location.

Booked for three nights and have extended my stay to two weeks. Great large basement for the kitchen and dining/social area. If it gets too loud then they have a big tv/computer room to chill out. Clean bathrooms and large lockers in the rooms. Still think its a bit pricey but it is Sydney center and they have Air Con in the rooms which is much appreciated. They should get pull out drawers for your belongings under the beds if they want to make it any better

Great staff, very helpful. Had pretty decent kitchen facilities which was nice in a city where food is so expensive. Location was conveneit.

NO free WIFI

After staying in two other hostels in Sydney, this turned out to be the best one! Great with 4 bed dorm, good showers, spacious kitchen and lounge. There is A/C in the rooms, so no need to let in the noise from the streets. The staff is friendly and seems to care for their guests, which is not the case in many other hostels in Sydney.

Very good location, but a little bit old.

THE location was very good. But THE room was horribele smelling very bad and no window you could open kitchen was ok but you didnt had lots of stuf there where like 5 glasses for 30 persons woudnt recomed this one

run-down place with no atmosphere, kitchen in the basment without windows, bathrooms tiny and really only serve their purpose,reception staff not friendly at all, people sleeping over night in the tv/internet room which causes a lovely smell when entering in the morning, readling lights on beds are too bright... Certainly not worth the money (even if checking in on Jan 1st)

Well set up with good procedures in place in the communal areas/kitchens. Cheap Internet was much appreciated. The lockers with plugs in them were wonderful! The bathrooms could have done with a good scrub down, but that applies to most backpackers anyway. Overall I was very happy with 790onGeorge. Would stay there again.

Nice hostel and a great location! Loved the girl at reception, awesome personality and good tips for our NYE, thanks! Showers could've been a bit cleaner and few more sponges in the kitchen might've been nice (and some of those stoves need to get fixed). But all in all had a good stay with you and will check availability on my next trip to Sydney :)

Probably the worst place ever. Extremely dirty and noisy rooms, apart from the guys at the reception who were nice enough, i would not recommend this place to anybody!! They never cleaned the room so it was so stinky!

Very loud af might, Hostel room smelled unhealthy

We had a very unpleasant stay at this place. Don't know where the good rating comes from. Maybe they put us in a different hostel? The place where we stayed felt more like barracks. The beds were shaking and squeaking whenever somebody moved in them. There was a lot of noise in the whole building till 4 a.m. The bathrooms were quite dirty and worn off. The kitchen was a mess. Dishes, pots, pans, stoves all were dirty and worn off. The best was the central location so it was easy to get away fast

It was a great location, good size rooms and friendly atmosphere. The bathrooms were pretty average and dirty needs a little but of work done to maintain better cleanliness. Would stay again but would bring a hairdryer next time as the ones in the bathroom don't work.
