This hostel was in excellent location, literally a stones throw from the MRT station but on a bad note I did get a few bites from bed bugs. The owner was very friendly and hospitible, breakfast was included and there was a lounge for everyone to share, watch DVD's etc and internet was free which is always a bonus and the rooms were fully air conditioned.

This is the BEST hostel I have stayed.Great comfortable beddings, 2 pillows. At the door step is the subway train station. Easy transportation.Great friendly staff. Will be back.

Only one member of staff works here and she is really unfriendly, bad tempered and obnoxious. Any questions or requests are met with abuse and she wont lift a finger to help you. Everyone staying there agreed, some were quite upset with such an unpleasant introduction to the country. Take your money elsewhere.

booked a bed 10 days in advance and wrote an email 2 days before to inform i would check in after 12am...no replies. Arrived at midnight to find out that "there were no rooms"!! i was sent to another hostel (Empire) which was still under construction and there were many people having the same experience. I would never recommend 98SG (a.k.a. Skyorchids), looks messy and the owner/manager is not nice at all   Read Owner Comments

Beware of the extra 10% charge that you get upon arrival. Which they say is for breakfast. However, on the hostel description, breakfast is included on your stay. If you question her about it, then expect icy stares for your stay, otherwise she's great!!! Other than that, the place is pretty cool and a good stopping point for Singapore. MRT station is about 3 minute walk away to get you anywhere in Singapore, and plenty of cheap food places around.

Excellent location right next the MRT stop Aljunied. As cheap as it gets in Singapore, clean and secure. The one poor lady running it seems a little overworked but shes doin a great job.

Just a small place to rest your head. Nothing more, nothing less. Location could probably better. This particular subay stop is one stop over from where all the hookers are apparently. So, not so good.

the hostel was extremely clean. the staff was availible and quite frinedly you get breakfast. and internet use without an extra cost. there are a lot of othe amenities like laundry and tv. the environmet didnt seem as young and upbeat as i am used to but it was a nice change of pace for a cuple of days.
