This hostel is good for values to stay, cool with aircon with good bed. The new staffs provide an excellence services, in additional of its good location. Just 100 meter from MRT station; good local just nearby and connected with other public transport. For sure recommend others to stay in 98SG. Best location, Best service, Best price!!!

The hostel has changed location recently to a building 3 houses to the right. If you can stand the limited bathroom facilities, 2 that are always wet for some 20 guests, it is quite ok.

The only downside was a group of guests who seem to have taken up residence at the hostel and made the atmosphere quite uncomfortable. The exterior of the hostel makes you doubtful of how it will be inside but it is a really nice place to stay and great value for money. It is so easy to get around from the convinetly located MRT station and the owner has supplied really great information on the location and how to get there from the airport. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

Great option if you're on a tight budget. OK, friendliness from staff - which lacks! - doesn't cost a thing and YES they might clean up the kitchen and showers, but where else are you gonna find a 9 bucks 10 % charge bed in Singapore, at 30 seconds walk from the metro station (MRT "Aljunied" btw)? I think this hostel was good value for money and the negative comments I also read were exaggerated.

Come on people, which HOSTEL allow you to cook? For $9 you want 4 star treatment??? wake up la.. ITS BACKPACKERS HOSTEL.. negative comments I also read were exaggerated. If i Doubt Ask, dont jump to conclusions. Have you seen those guest whose use toilet never flush? We are educated People rite, so before u booked PLEASE READ THE INFO, for any extra charges n rules.

good location, just walking 5 minutes from aljuneid MRT Station,

This hostel was awful and I would that it be closed down, it is not suitable as a hostel, too small, no windows in the bedrooms, the bathroom is a disgrace with no doors and shower facilities in the same place as the toilets, just totally unhygienic and too small and how the poor people work there is beyond me, in fairness they were as helpful as they could be in finding us alternative accommodation and where to go and do things in Singapore.

Bathing room is really small, I am very small but I still think it's super small, guess hard to turn around if you are a big person...... The cleaniness was just alright as I doubt if they change the bed sheet when ppl moving out..... But the position is very close to MRT, which add a credit to this place. All in all, it's alright with short and budget stay but more than 4 days, you better consider different hostel.

I found it difficult to find the receptionist when I signed in and out. Easy to find

1. Check-in time There are time options for check-in during booking, but the fine print state only after 2pm. If so better off removing the check-in time options. 2. Additional charges without clearly stated in the bill Some here and there charges were applied but all those important details are in the fine print. Please put those charges up front and clear, because those are important information. 3. Flexible care taker For the good side, the care taker allow us to store our belonging.

The staff should improve the kitchen.

The location is very good very close to bus and MRT station so it's very easy to travel around. The room is alright and we have no problem staying there, door locks worked well. Perhaps some cleaning of the building might improve the experience a bit, also fixing one of the broken shower the bathroom. Everything else is alright and good value for money especially for accessibility.

First they said that I were not allow to cook ( sounds very very strange as a hostel). After they checked my cool bag in the fridge saying that some kind of foods weren't allowed to be there. Very bad staff, they're not present at all, and don't provide good informations! Try to find another "real hostel" for you, because this is no a hostel!

Not very good value for money, been staying in some pretty cheap places across Asia and I recommend spending a little more in Singapore to keep up with the first world side of things...
