my 2nd time staying here while many changes compared with 4 years ago, the staff changed, breakfast included, shower room not so clean and a little smelly inside. I am cautious when checkin while the staff is unexpected kind altho I do not talk much with her.

hostel itself was ok, I'd say you can't expect anything better in Singapore for this price. I loveed massaging chair on the second floor. But... staff was very rude, forget about knocking to reception door in about 10 am- you'll hear only yelling. Don't recommend.

Possitives: the beds are comfortable and the owner is knowledgeable and willing to help. MRT is practically next door connecting you to the city which is too far to walk. a convenience store and restaurants are all around. Negatives: The lady owner can be extremely unapproachable if in a bad mood, she spent a whole morning stomping around slamming doors and snapping at guests, I know people have bad days but not exactly professional. toilet/showers are cramped and had maggots on the floor!

This is the second time I visit the hostel, and this time I travel alone. The location is great, near MRT and the breakfast is good. The bathroom clean, but the door kinda broken, but still working. Over all, good for one night sleep though.

I don´t know who said, the host was unfriendly. All the other way. I caught a very late flight, which made me checking in way after midnight. And there she was all friendly, talkative and she even gave me the grand tour. Also during the stay, absolutely fabulous + helpful. Breakfast is good (toast, jam, coffee/tea). The SG98 is like 2 flats on 2 floors each with several bedrooms and a bathroom/kitchen area. Quite fun, unless some Spanish teenagers don´t know how to speak in a reasonably loudly.

Booked here because it was advertised as 24 hour check in, then got slapped with a late check in fee!, I was aware of the additional 10 % fee for?? administraion??, but still don't understand what it's for, I think it is just to recover the fees paid to hoselbookers for getting them the business in the first place. The only value the place has is that it is somewhat close to the airport. Facilities and service are average at best.

not happy about service charge and booking fee. It was a ridiculous shceme about chargeing 10% more service fee to staying there. and paying booking fee to hostel world.com What the host.el explained to us that they're not getting any deposit from hostelworld.com then why did i use this website. so stupid. If I knew it would cost that money then I wound't stay there. The owner makes stinky food at the hostel. It was smell like dead fishes everywhere.

Possibly the worst hostel in the world. Not enough characters to show my hatred!. Was overcharged due to the fact they don't EVER check their emails! Paid 16e deposit- was told they don't receive this and still charged it again. Our 'double' was a 4 bed dorm with dripping wet fungus stained walls. Dirty beds and linen. Got destroyed by bed bugs- 40bites!! Ms K is aggressive, unreasonable and appears mentally unwell. Left after 1 night due to her verbal abuse and lectures on how to close doors!!!

It's near the metro station so the location is very good, but during first walk to look around we found a street full of prostitutes... But the food nearby is very tasty and cheap :)

As a recommendation for new guests, try to not share the room with unknown people, instead, fit the room to your group size. The included breakfast is very poor. The toilets and showers are not comfortable.

the owner should be more hospitable. remind that the customer is always right. the first impression that i and the rest of my companions of the owner is that she is not smiling at all, not hospitable, strict beyond her required strictness.

The hostel was good. It's near the MRT. The place is clean and the free breakfast is good. My only comment is one of the shower is very hot, you cannot adjust it. Maybe the hostel should fix that shower. All-in-all, it's a nice place to stay in.

After the prepaid of 10%, I had to pay the toatl amount. Now cost the stay not a fortune, but it is not correct. I tried make my point, but the hostel-owner says she does dis for year and is a very bad listener.

The people who run this hostel were awful! bad mannered, unhelpful and very rude. We checked out of the hostel the next day despite booking in for four nights

Fairly nice place. Gives the feel that this hostel is just an apartment with a bunch of rooms being rented out for backpackers. The owner is nice, but can sometimes come off to be cold or rude.
