Reception:24/7. Staff:nice. Room: very quiet considering location (room was on top floor in the wing farthest away from reeperbahn, so it may well be we had the quietest room of the hostel). Key card for your room - nice to carry around. Security of room didnt?t seem to be very promising at first, door looked like someone had tried to brake in.But when we got back from partying at 4:30 in the morning a security guy was patrolling the corridors.They do seem to care about security.Checkout:11:00Reception:24/7. A place absolutely disorganized. The reservations were nothing. I reserved three beds in a four beds room, and they put me in a eight beds room. The staff seemed to be always completely lost about the reservations and everything else. Moreover, dirt rooms and a sensation of an unsafe place.A place absolutely disorganized. This is a good hostel with affordable double rooms in a great location. (Well I think the Reeperbahn is a bit overrated but still a good location and nightlife.) The staff is a bit clueless, but they are open all night long.
My only complaint is check-out is at 10am and check-in at 4pm. We were forced to change rooms the 2nd night so we had to put our stuff in the luggage room or behind the desk. I thought the staff could have been more helpful - but hey this is Germany.This is a good hostel with affordable double rooms in a great location. Very well situated in Hamburg's night life area, near the famous "Fischmarkt" on Sunday morning yet quiet for a good night's rest. The room was not very good value for money. Very small tatty old bed, tiny old TV, everything just a bit old and worn out, very thin walls which meant a noisy stay, old worn out showers.
