Great location for a really low price but: -Staff didn't speak English -We had to give our key back to the front desk every time we went out, which didn't make us feel very secure as the building wasn't exactly alcatraz locked down. Nothing was ever taken from our room, but it was really hard to voice our concerns when no one spoke English. -On the plus side it did have Wifi in the rooms.

You choose this place for the location, very close to La Rambla. The rooms are small, there was one radiator in the room but this was turned off during the night so it was really cold. For 4 Euro you will get breakfast (coffee/the, juice, toast & croissant)at Tapas Gaudi 10 m from the hostel. Staff is polite and helpful. Not a place to meet people. Overall a place that's ok to stay during your stay in Barcelona, but nothing special! You get what you pay for!

I recommend this hostel to anyone looking for accomodations in the heart of downtown Barcelona. The hostel has nice rooms, friendly staff and was quite clean. When I return to Barcelona and need a cheap and reliable place fo lodge I will happily return to the Palermo.
