Just go to the center.
From Zoo station. From the way out, just the first building on the right hand (over the Burgerking!). All in all: 30m walk.
From Tegel airport: X9 or 109 busses until the Zoo station (endstop). It takes between 20 and 35 minutes depending from daytime...
With a car: always follow Berlin Zentrum. At some stage you will even have Zoologischer Garten as a direction. Park at the large parking lot in front of the zoo station.
