Better suited for large school groups etc. Travelling alone I found the hostel far from the sights I wanted to see and there was little opportunity to meet other travellers. Facilities and staff were good.

Good hostel, but towels were kind of smelly and the washing machine wasn't working.

The staff was friendly and they all speak english. The hostel is nicely located and actually quite cheap. There is no free internet connection in the rooms, though the one in the lobby was enough for me. It doesn't have a locker in the hostel room, you have to take your values to the reception and they make you a receipt, thats not so good when you have secure something during your stay but you need to use it sometimes. I would recommend it for a short stay.

The Hostel says there is a bus which passes by the hostel, but I've never seen it... You have to walk about 15 Min to the hostel from the main train station. The room is clean (I was in a twin private room) but small - for example, if two guests have each a big suitcase, don't know how it'll fit in the room. Anyway I've enjoyed my stay there! Didn't like: expensive internet (wi-fi in room: 5 euros per day) and the check-out is too early (10 a.m. Mo-Fr). Breakfast also expensive (6 Euros).

This hostel was a friendly and pleasant place to stay. It is very close to the main train station, although I did find it difficult to find using A&O's written directions (follow under the bridge part) partially my own fault for not looking at the map, however this does not alter my opinion of the hostel.

Nice hostel, nice staff. Good breakfast. It was really quiet when we were there. The bar upstairs was cool but deserted. A little far away from the cool stuff in Dresden.

Rooms were very big, enough space to put your luggage around. Rooms were cozy and people were friendly too.

Staff was not really friendly when I check in. I asked possibility to get female dom while I was staying and staff said It`s avaiable. There was only one more girl was in our dom . Second day at the middle of night around 2 AM, suddenly one drunken guy came to our dom and sleep. I was so suprised and sccared whether he will do something bad. I requested again for changing room at the front desk and I changed it but It was so bad experience.

A&O is good, but more like a hotel than a hostel. Not an ideal destination for travellers who like a unique experience. Close to Dresden Hauptbanhof, but there is nothing else in the area, really. However, the tram/ S-bahn system in Dresden is very good for the city's size, and most things are walking distance if you like to walk, so the location isn't too disconcerting if you look at it this way. Wifi costs extra money in the room, free in lobby.
