The location is good, only the old entry card system is a pain.

I was in a four bed dorm, and non of our keycard worked, we had to return to reception to get it reactivated. There is no mention that you have to bring bedlinen in booking and then they charge a compulsory 3 Euro for that. Despite all the other hostels I have been to, so far, There were no kitchen for guests in the hotel. The location is OK, around 20 minutes walk from the city center, and there is a REWE very close by. also they have a safe which you can store your valuables there.

More a Hostel to sleep than to stay in, very big. But nice if you are just there to visit cologne!

Ok hostel for the price. Clean room and bathroom. Location is about 10 minutes walk to the older city part and the shoppings streets. But next to a nice neighboorhoud with good restaurants. Underground parkingplace is nice.

Good hostel, which situated not so far from center of Cologne. It's look like club-bar-hostel and it's excellent choise for young people.

It would be nice if the beds were already made, but compared to everything else it's a minor issue.

Location a little away from Koln HBf but manageable. You must stay in this area to enjoy the calmness of the city. while markets and shopping joints are a 5 min walk away. The tram station of Zulpitherstrat is 2 min walk. Property is neat and clean and has a lot of character. Awesome place.

I am not happy with the fact that it was not clear on the reservation that we have to take sheets or pay for them.

The problem with this and every A&O is the internet. They have free wifi in the lobby, but you have to pay to use it in your bedroom. They already have the router in every floor, would it be difficult remove the password? If the hostel were mine, I certainly would make it free in every floor and get the happiness of my guests!

It was definitely clean, to start off with a positive comment. However when I arrived I was faced with having to pay more for my reservation than Hostelworld told me. I don't know who exactly screwed up, the A&O or Hostelworld, but it wasn't a pleasant start. Another unpleasant surprise was the realization that breakfast wasn't included in the price, despite Hostelworld claiming so. Internet access isn't free either, luckily you can access a couple of free hotspots. Bedsheets cost extra.

Everything fine! As always in Germany: could have been cheaper, but the hostel was nice, clean and central, so it was worth it!

Nice and clean place and in a good location concerning exploring the city. Neumarkt, tram and the inner city are in close proximity. We missed the breakfast, but the common room around the reception is good to hang out for and have a snack. Garage to leave your car = very comfortable.

Good things: - Good location, although there's another one next to DOM/Hbf and that would be a better choice. Anyway you can get any where within minutes. - Good price, really cheap in comparison to other hostels nearby. - Cheap beer and cheap fast food inside the hostel. - Free wi-fi in the lobby. Bad things: - Staff is not kind at all. - You have to pay for the sheets and towels as well. - You need to pay to use the facilities like the pool, and it's not even in good conditions.

This is not a hostel.. It's more like a youth residence or something like that. It's not as well located as it seemed to be and when we arrived we had to pay 3€ for the linen. Not cool at all, specially when the price is already a bit expensive...
