Clean, organized, the staff is helpful, excelent instalations
The staff here was never directly rude or impolite, but I noticed that they were a little colder than some of the other hostels that I stayed at. Also, don't buy concert tickets from them! You can get them way cheaper in the center of town. The hostel is also very English-friendly, which was nice. The location isn't the very very best - like in the Center of town, but it's only about a 5-8 minute walk to the metro station which will take you directly to the center of town, so that was nice.
Very good location, no in downtown but very easy to get there. The facilities are good but the price is soo high. Tthe breakfast is not included (almos 5 euros extra), and the internet is only available in the lobby and dining room and the kitchen is only for staff. The good thing is that the shampoo for body and hands was free to use.
Staff were very rude and unhelpful. Our bathroom was not cleaned once over the four days I was there. The wifi was only in the foyer and was not very fast at all. There was no atmosphere at all which is bad for a solo traveler. The hostel also has a no alcohol policy. This place is more like a very average hotel than a proper hostel.
Nice and modern Hostel. But It doesn't have a kitchen
Metro is really convenient so it wasn't bad even if it was located at the end of a metro line. Comfortable rooms and environment but have to make your own beds as well as stripping them. Only disappointing part was that there's only wifi in the reception and not in rooms.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The location is abysmal (5 min walk to the metro followed by a 15 min journey), the area does not feel safe, especially at night and there is a noticeable lack of bars and restaurants. The staff go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful and their knowledge of the city is shockingly poor. There is absolutely no atmosphere in the lounge area. The luggage room is routinely left unlocked and unattended and the key card desensitised during our stay, leaving us locked out.

Cheap but pretty average accommodation. No air con in the rooms, so was very hot. Bathroom constantly flooded from shower and staff didn't seem very friendly. Fairly close to train station though and not far to the city.

It was ok. But a bit far from where all the sites are around the city and the wifi dosnt go into a room. This sounds really nit picky but just annoying that you have to sit in reception.

The hostel is fine. The internet only works in common rooms. A couple of us were kicked out of the dinning room, while we were eating, because a school group was going to have dinner, which is a little annoying. The location is pretty far from town and a 10 minutes walk to the metro. The area is also quite dodgy, I didn't really feel safe going out at night (as a solo female traveller). Rooms were clean. Not allowed to use the kitchen.
Good hostel. Bit out of way but comfortable, clean and good staff
The front desk was a mess- unorganized, chaotic, rude. There's not wifi in the rooms, which is really inconvenient. For the price of the hostel, you shouldn't have to make and strip the beds yourself. The most frustrating thing though was "breakfast". I paid 4.80 Euros for bread and cheese?? The yogurt was inedible, there was no fresh fruit, the meat/cheese was disgusting. Left the "buffet" still hungry. I will return to Vienna in a month, but definitely won't ever stay here again. Pathetic.
The facilities here are fine but we did not enjoy our stay. We had booked a 4 person room and were put in a 6 bed room, and when we first arrived they said there was "trouble with the keys" so we had to be let into our room by the staff. Next day when we went for our keys we realized we'd been put in the wrong room and the desk clerk somehow insisted it was OUR fault, though they had actually sent someone else to our correct room. Shower leaked. Definitely wouldn't stay again.
Great hostel. It's a bit far. But the transport is that good that it means u just get to eat in a cheaper part of town. Big. Busy. Good bar. Only thing is no kitchen. But no real biggie.
My hostel stay here was great, it was clean, secure, and had a really nice bar with a great atmosphere. I think the staff are a little overworked, the check-in receptionist had a line of about 40 people waiting to check in and no one else to help him, same with the bartender. The location is about a 5-10 minute walk from the metro and it's only 2 stops in to the main city center.
Loved everything about this hostel from the location to its staff. Idk what everyone else is giving this place a low rating for location, if it wasn't for this location I would never have tried the TICHY ice cream. ITs to die for.. Its probably the only reason to come back to Vienna, ANd the BARTENDER was freaking awesome, hell of a great time during the midafternight. :)
This new hostel is definitely a safe bet for a weary traveler. It is a far way from the city center and nightlife options but there is an underground not too far from it. The room was accommodating and the common area was nice. Not a great location to meet other travelers as the common area isn't very welcoming, but I would still recommend it compared to other prices I've seen in Vienna
For the price per night you should expect some things to be sacrificed. In this case location but the ubahn is close by and it's not a long train ride to any central location. Other then that the staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. Not very social during the day until they open the bar at about 8 pm.
Firstly, the hostel needs to put more staff on at the desk because clearly one in particular (with a beard) cannot handle the pressure and takes it out travelers. Secondly, fair enough the hostel doesn't offer kitchen facilities.. But if you have a kitchen, why not travellers use it? You can't expect backpackers to eat out every meal. Ps £4.80 for breakfast is a rip off.
Highly recommended, super clean and comfortable. Great price!
